If you are not going to reuse them, just take a welder and weld a bead from top to bottom of the sleeve and it will come right out.

On my 960 I split the tractor and took the crank out I borrowed a sleeve puller but it didnt have the right size washer for the sleeve so I went to the ford dealer and he loaned me a nice machineed washer that fit perfect. I bought a pc of threaded stock and drove them out using a hammer took 10 min.

John, the best way is with a sleeve puller. If you can find one to barrow, as they are expensive to purchase. You can cut them out with a chiesel and hammer, however if you slip and crack the block it will be ruined. The other option is to take it to a machine shop, it can't cost that much to have 4 sleeves pulled. Good Luck John
