I just traded in my Farmall Cub for a Ford 860 w/ loader and bush hog - what an upgrade!!!

Cub - gutless, but cute
Ford 860 - POWERFUL but ugly (for the moment)

I have the I&T manual for my Ford 860, but it has no wiring schematic in the manual. I want to redo all the wiring to original 6v +ground wiring but I would like a schematic. Anyplace on the web have one?

Thanks

"Borrowed" from the Vintage Ford Tractor Resource. For some reason it won't come up when you access the site, but I have the diagram bookmarked for moments like this.

Were can I get a wiring schematic for a 860 ford? Also what are the pros and cons of wiring the 6 volt system positive or negative?

Thanks Jim:

I actually just found this same posting back on page 7 or 8 of this message board. I have been reading through back messages to learn what I can, being new to Fords.

The 860 is my 4th tractor (Minneapolis Moline, Farmall C, Farmall Cub and now the Ford 860).

The Ford 860 was burned, so most of the wiring was replaced (poorly) by the P.O.. Many of the hoses and tinwork show signs of the fire too and that is why she is SO UGLY! But I bush hogged my back field with her last weekend and that baby really pours on the power!

Thanks for the schematic. I believe I'll be back with plenty more questions...
