The doglegs on my 841 are banged up and bondo-ed.
Side panels look straight but have been bunged up too. I know where there is a salvage yard 4000 with a 172 gas engine. I think front sheetmetal-- except nose piece, grill and hinged center door-- will interchange with 841. Will try to buy tomorro unless you guys say "NO" Have parts books from 39 to 58, but don't have for blue 134s and 172s. Thanks for any help on this. Mike-Iowa

Hi Mike, Yes it will fit , the hood is the same except the two little holes for the Chrome vent piece. Is the vent piece on the hood ? If it is available for a fair price I would be interested in it. Thanks Tony Jacobs

Tony: Are those chrome pieces on the center hood-door that opens to battery, gas, radiator. If so I may try to get the whole thing minus front grill, which was excellent, but without FORD. I am thinking that the four pieces I want: 2 hood sides and 2 doglegs are basically sand-and-paint to look original on the 841. Correct? Tell me exactly what you want and I will attempt to buy those specific pieces. I saw this stuff two weeks ago and hope it is all still there. Want to call this a.m. if place is open. Thanks a million. Mike

Hi Mike, All I am looking for is the chrome piece that bolts to the center hood section. Thanks Tony
