My 841 Three point will not come up to top. It comes to within 8 inches to the top, measured at the end of the lift arms, with no attachements (no binding anywhere externally). The control lever seems to be out of adjustment. Three point reaches bottom before lever does and lever is all the way up and lift arms are within 8 inches of top. It is a smooth operator otherwise. No jurking, good response to the position control, and no noise from pump. Also, in draft mode, the lift will not come up with or without load when control lever is pulled up. Any adjustsments? Thanks.

Thanks, for the suggestions guys. One thing you did confirm is that my knowledge of the hydraulic system on a tractor is not enough to start tinkering around in there. I will wait to get a manual. Good news though it sounds like an easy fix.

i think you will find that you will have to pull the lift cover. the problem might be the pin that your contol arm rides on is all most worn in half. you will have to pop that pin out turn it over and put it back in if you can not find a new one.

The main 3-point hitch hydraulic control valve is on the bottom of the hitch lift cylinder casting. The valve moves forward to raise, rearward for lower and centered for hold. There is an adjusment on the linkage that connects to the back end of this valve and I think you can reach it from the access hole on the left side of the rear axle center housing. Lengthen this link to increase the height. Don't overdo it, the cam follower on the 3-point rockshaft has to move this valve to neutral or else you'll be trying to push the lift cylinder and connecting rod out the back end of the tractor.
