Typically how much does a used engine block run for a TO-20? Would I be better off buying a new one? What would that cost?

I checked this site and did not see any listed. My next ideas would be to keep an eye on ebay as there was a person on this forum that bought a Z129 engine about 2 weeks ago. Then I would google "tractor parts" and I am sure you will get a lot of places to check and probably some fairly close to your location as shipping can add up fairly quickly now days. As quickly as tanks full of gas. I have found if you try not to be in a big hurry you will come across a better deal possibly. Good luck and please let this forum know how you are making out. What"s wrong with your old one?

The blocks are out producton so there is no "new" block available unless someone has started recasting them. Good used bare blocks run $400-$600 and repaired blocks are in that same price range.

The old block is cracked from top to bottom and was leaking coolant in the oil. The crankshaft seems to be fine as well as the sleeves. When I stated "new" I should have written repaired, good catch. I am having trouble locating one (block), do you have any suggestions? Thank you
