Well, I bought the repro worklight kit you see on this site and others. Overall doesn't look too bad. But the repro switch is pretty awful. Mine was broken in two places right out of the box.

Looking at the construction, I think I'll just go down to the hardware store tomorrow and get a regular toggle switch to replace it. Oh, well.

I found a toggle at my hardware store today which will have approximately 6000 times the lifespan of the repro switch, at least if my repro was anything to go by. I can mount this new switch like the original, and not modify the original wire terminals inside the light. The toggle lever itself will be slightly different looking.

I'll post some photos in the next day or so on how I go about it and how it turns out. The switch itself was $8.

Dennis Carpenter who makes reproductions parts for Ford has them. Does anyone know if they would work?

I have a couple of the reproductions and they were fine. I looked all over the place to find the ones that use the two screws to mount in place (like originals) couldn't find anywhere.
bought two at a farm show (way too expensive-$12.00 each) but liked the mounting and wiring design.
I know how much those sets are, I'd call somebody and ask for a "good" one sent to ya.
I just dont like the big hole and threaded ring that the store bought switches require.
