I have got a TEA that has been sitting in a shed for the past 12 years!

It wont tun over with the starting handle and ive tried diesel/ATF in the cylinders with no benifit!

I stripped off the rocker cover and radiator undone the bolts to take off the head and thats as far as i got!

I tried a bottle jack to ease it of(left it overnight) but shes as tight as ever

An ideas on how to get the head off?

First of all are you sure that you have got all the nuts off that hold the head in place? This very often happens. There are 10 Head Studs on this engine, the one that usually gets missed is in the middle. If all the nuts are off it would seem that the Head gasket has been leaking for some time and has rusted the studs into the Head. If you can fasten something to the Head SECURELY to which you can attach an engine crane and then take the weight of the Tractor on the Crane and leave it hanging for a while like that, but pour some penetrating oil down the Head Studs and with a bit of luck it may soak through and loosen them. Not an easy job but persevere with it and don't try putting anything between the Block and the Head....John
