I have a '58 TO-35 with the Standard Diesel 23C and the tractormeter quit working. Figured the cable was toast, but it turns out the little drive unit that is a differential to pivot the output 90 degrees has frozen. This caused the shaft that has the cog wheel connected to the engine to shear off. This one looks nothing like the gas engine versions shown with a straight output in the manual. I am guessing the only way to find a replacement would be a 23C parts tractor. Where would I track down a used parts dealer? Any other suggestions? The Sparex catalog was pretty limited on 23C Diesel parts. Thanks

I believe that Ron Greet Tractor Spares
is currently breaking a MF35 with a 23C engine - they're in England but he is very helpful and would be able to ship that part out to you I guess. I don't think that you'll need this for your repair, butVintage Tractor Engineer do an engine rebuild DVD for the 23C engine and have some torque settings and other info available.
