I have a 2 bit plow manufactured by Harry Ferguson Inc. Type 12-AO-28 # 22570
The blade portion of the front bit has broken off, and is missing.

Does anyone know how I can find a replacement ?
Does anyone know what year the plow may have been manufactured ?

Thanks
Mike

interesting and informative discussion! I have a type 12-AO-28, serial #50844 plow for sale--located in west central Missouri. Plow is in great shape except for bearings on the "sod cutter" wheels (don't know the technical term). The shares are even in good shape. Could provide photos if anyone is interested.

Mike, Let me know what you find (or don't) as I was in the same boat as you just over a year ago. I found a place on the east coast that can sell you the new plow share, AKA plow point, in steel or cast. They were a bit pricy though. $100.00. I ended up getting a used one for $25 at Tosch brothers in Capac/Goodels area. Got $65.00 total into the plow. I will have to look back and see where that place was. Drop me a line if need be.

Paul gave you Scott's phone number. He can help you. He will need the full number off the back of the part you want to replace. The number on the tag won't help.

I live up here too, but I never think anyone else does! So it was surprising to see a person (other than me) posting here. Do you have Ferguson tractors also.

Call Scott @ 717-896-3414. He has a New Holland dealership and has most of the old plow parts.

Is (bit) a slang word since I have never heard of it.I think you may mean (share).Could the proper name be (two bottom plow). You leave me a(bit) confused.CENTAUR

Forgive me CENTAUR, but I am a rookie at this. I guess I mean two bottom plow. I dont know the specific names for all the parts. I dont know if its a share that I need or not, so I will describe. The forward most "cutting head ?" has what I would call a "blade" on the back side of it..... the part that basically folds the soil over on itself. About 12 inches of that "blade" is broken off. So I am looking for whatever parts I may need.
Thanks
Mike

If I understand you correcetly, you are referring to the moldboard. The share is the bottom (replaceable) part of the plow that initially cuts into the soil when plowing.
