I have a 1952 restored Ferguson To30 that I just bought. Just as I bought it a 1954 Golden Jubilee came up for sale and now I am going to sell the Fergie. My question is: The transmission has 4 forwards and a reverse that you pull up on the shifter to engage. Above where the 3/4 position and also another above the reverse positon there is an "S". One above each one. Can anyone help me and tell me what these are for? Thanks in advance.

In Indiana, $2500 to $2800 is the going price for a restored to original Ferg. TO.; modified to 12V goes for around $2k. If you have the original parts to go with the tractor for restoring to show status, it will bring the better price. Good luck! Tractors in my blood.

The "S" is for start. It must be bypassed if you don't use it, check the article archives for more info.

Hi The tractor has been restored and is in great condition. It has good rubber on the back and fair rubber on the front. It doesnt smoke and holds 35psi oil pressure. Has a 12 volt system and I dont know of anything wrong with it. I am in the Houston area and am asking 2800.

Price sounds fair but Texas to Ohio is a bit excessive.Happy New Year.
