Why is it that when I look back through all of the posts in this forum, almost every page has something about Vern Otto? Some good but most bad. Obviously hes doing something wrong to get this bad rep. Why is it though, that people are going through with deals with him after they obviously have seen some of the reports on this forum, and then comlain about his "not being honest". If you read the posts on this forum, use them as advice when purchasing from someone. I, personally, am sick and tired of repeated complaints about the same person/deal that is over and done with. Everybody sees and understands the warnings put up on this forum, so quit posting the same issue again and again. You got your point across in your message, did I do the same?

I have bought many tractors both John Deere and International from Vern Otto over the years. I have always found him to be very truthful and honest about every tractor he has sold me. I think it's sad that people bash others on here. I haven't seen Vern post an add in a while and I think it's a loss to the tractor community. I miss reading his ads! We all have someone; myself included; who just cannot and will not be pleased--and wants to go on griping about it until the hand of God Himself comes down to nurse the wound. It is the nature of selling any used items. I have several tractors in my barn that came from or through Vern and I think it's sad that several who frequent this forum ( and you know who you are ) who have made lots of money dealing with Vern and others in Canada...sit back quiet and offer no defense of their "friend" at a time when his reputation is being slandered. Vern, if you read this...thank you for all of the good tractors in my barn that I would not have had were it not for you and folks like you expanding the tractor hobby! -Sam

Get the dates right. This form was created only resently because of this. Most of these people did not complain until somebody stepped forward. Why isn"t Vern answering to these claims? If it were me and they were false I would be mad and post, but he isn"t. Why is the buyer at fault when this form did not even exist? Facts are Facts, who said you had to read this form anyway, let alone post?

If you will go to page 8 of this forum, you will find that this particular forum has been up and running for just shy of a year, and still the complaints come in about the same guy.

How often does the same question come up on a board that was just answered two weeks ago? Many people do not look two or three pages back, and until the bad seller or whoever answers why they sold a bad product or whatever, the buyer has a responibility to YTMAG users to post again and again. So why is it bad to bring this up again and again when the seller is too coward to answer? Most of the deals with Vern go back over a year ago, read them more carefully.

Just look at the redundancy this way, yesterday there were Amber Alerts all over the interstates, on the radio, and TV. It was redundant, same old tag number and description, over and over..... ..... ..... ..... BUT, the information lead to an arrest as one person recognized the vehicle from the redundant description.
If we keep posting on the few bad boys, it will run them off to another facet of business and clean up the tractor hobby.
