The Subject sounds like a hit country song but in fact the title has very special meaning! Howard has been absolutely the epitome of a person you want as a friend in addition to one who you trust in the antique tractor business. When we were trying to find a G, Howard had one advertised and when I called him about it, he told me straight up that a couple of other folks were coming to see it but he would call me back if they didn't take it. True to his word, he called me that same weekend and let me know that the folks that looked couldn't make up their mind so it was mine if I still wanted it. Sent the check that night and the deal was complete--HOWEVER-- as most of y'all know (if you have followed the saga of getting the G hauled from Howard's place in Nebraska to our place in Tennessee) I paid another person to haul it and it all went into the black hole--where it still is today with that particular hauler. But, we were rescued by Willie who is equally as professional as Howard. Willie saw all the frustration in the postings and called to offer his help--not a sales pitch but truly offered his help. Said he hauled all over the place and would haul the G but would need get his loads consolidated which might take a bit of time. He kept me informed all through the process and true to his word; he came through in flying colors. He’s dependable, personable, and a darn good person in addition to being one heck of a trucker. So, if you ever do business with Howard (the NebraskaCowman) or Willie, you can rest assured you are getting quality, dependability, integrity, and real people on the other end. Hats off folks—y’all have put my faith back into the farmers I grew up with! It’s a pleasure to know and have done business with you!!
