Made a deal with Sam Adams of Tatum Texas several weeks ago to purchase a Ford 3000. Had plans to pick up the tractor within a few days but because of family health problems was not able to. Contacted Sam with my sad story expecting the worst, but was greeted with warm understanding and consideration to my dilema. Payment was made to Sam, he let me know it was received and assured me he would hold the tractor as long as needed. Took a few weeks for life to iron itself out and I made the trip to Tatum, 600 miles each way. Every thing was perfect in every way. Got the 25 cent tour (worth at least 50 bucks!), got help loading and tying down etc. Everything Sam said and did was 100% in honesty, I just can"t say enough good about this man. If the rest of the world was just half as honest as Sam we would be living in a perfect world. All I can tell anyone that is considering doing business with Sam is..... look up the word "HONEST" in your dictionary and you will see Sam Adams picture next to it. I look forward to doing business with Sam again one day, and I"m sure you will feel the same way once you have done business with him too.
George on the Texas / Mexico border.

Nice letter. My experience with Sam, too. I was there last October and came away with some farmall implements. I've lost his email address, and want to ask him for help with John Deere Model 40 parts. I'm finding some difficult to find in my restoration effort. Thanks, Alvin

Let me add my postive comments to the others here. I bought a tractor from him a couple of months back, sight unseen. Mr. Adams' description was accurate, and his photos gave me a good idea of what I was buying. He was able to help me out with someone that could haul the tractor for me.

There aren't a lot of people that I would buy a tractor from without first driving it; I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to buy another tractor from Mr. Adams, sight unseen. His name on an ad makes me take a second look.

Yes he sure is. I bought a model C Case from him. He is great to deal with. I hope to get started on that project soon.

Ditto on Sam! 4 yrs. ago I bought a 2 row planter from him. Made a wx run from FL to TX and back. Worked out good. Still using the planter.
Sam was unavailable but his brother is just as nice.

I wonder if Sam would consider teaching his morals to some that show up on this site with one thing in mind..... ..... ..saying anything to get our money? With all due respect, there are some other Sam's out there, but beware of the "dealers". The are just moving inventory, they figure the further away you live from them, the less chance of being confronted.
Hats off to Sam and others like that who know that a dollar bill will never be worth your honor and dignity.

I do not have the same address as Sam, have never met him. Did I miss something as you stated, "both with the same isp address again", please clarify.

Joe and Ray - Please Read in reply to Ray, 02-26-2005 12:19:41
The IP address you are referring to belongs to AOL (America On Line) and they have only a handful of different IP addresses that they use for many thousands of their subscribers.

Basically the only thing the people you are referring to have in common is that they are all using America On Line as an ISP. They are not the same person.

While we can do quite a bit of detective work by know the IP address of a poster, this is not the case for an AOL user. They all share the same IP.

Hope this clears things up.
Kim
