Had tried all over North East NY International Dealers for a simple distributor cap & rotor for a 3414/B414. All I ever got was a curt "No Longer Available" Even the tried & true stand by NAPA could not help. Got a response from searching through Yesterdays Tractor archives,gause@valunet.com/Gause Equiptment responded. Turns out they are a real thing International Dealer for 50 years. Went the extra mile to make the effort for a piddly low dollar sale to get an old machine running. Reminds me of the kind of International dealers that were around when I was growing up on the farm. The kind of helpfull dealer that made International Harvester the choice in farm equiptment. They had the parts on the shelf & are confident they can find/supply whatever I need if they don't stock it. What I feel I get from new kids on the block these days is, heres your new machine, let me deposit the check & good luck chump. I think I'd prefer to spend my money at Gause in the future. I don't think I'm alone in this thinking. The number of people who responded offering their old caps as they were sure I would not find a new one was amazing. To them THANK YOU also....

Bill,
That's good to know. I'm glad you were able to find a dealer to help you out in this situation and will visit their site and bookmark it for future reference. Fortunately, we have a good dealer here in Falls County, Texas too. Beechem Equipment over in Marlin is another dealer that will help out wherever possible.

Phil

This cap is the same as a Furgeson TE-20. I know because I just replaced mine on my 3414.They are both British made continental engines.
