It's me again, i read somewhere about a Farmall A having dual rear wheels? Is this possible? Did you have to buy special rims or can you just get 2 sets and turn one in and the other out, and stick the wheels on?
Any help, thanks....

Father-in-law had a Farmall 200 where the rear wheels were set out to the end of the axles, and then spaced out even further with spacers on the lugs that held the rims, set up this way for straddling rows when pulling beans - 4 rows at at a time. He broke an axle driving into the barn! Moral - watch those duals and wide tires, on these old tractors, axles may not be up to it!

I've been toying with the idea of duals on my B for awhile. Seems I run out of traction in our soft (wet) soil before power. You need to keep the cone on the lug bolt engaged to the cone on the wheel disk for proper clamping of the wheel. You could try installing studs in the hub, using lug nuts on the inner wheel, then stack another wheel and set of lug nuts on the outer wheel. If something breaks, you might lose one or both wheels on one side, and if that happens, you didn't read it here. ;o)

If you find a good method that works, please let us know. Good luck.
