I have a 1948 Farmall A. The from tire no matter which side it is on will slide on the hub until it cuts the valve stem off and the tire goes flat.
Only the one tire does it, i've put wedges around the rim, cranked the bolts that hold it as tight as possible but it still slides. I am figuring it is a mis-sized rim, were there more than one size rim for this tractor?
Thanks...

tom is right weld a small piece on the rim that way it wont be able to slip older anes had a small piece from factory on there fits in the slot of the hub if you use fine thread grade 8 bolts tighten with impact usually will hold but the piece of metal is bullet proof

I`m not sure about A`s but on our M there are two blocks about 1/4 inch thick 2 inches long and as wide as center rib on the rim, welded on so there is one on each side of the wedge so it will not slip either way It was welded on by drilling a hole in just the block, and welded through the hole like a big spot weld.its factory I`m not sure if its IHC but it works Hope this helps Tom
