I have been thinking about replacing the oil pressure, temp and ammeter gauges. I have seen various types and prices, but happened onto oil pressure and temp gauges at Wal-mart for substantially less than any other source. They look good (obviously not original style).

My concern is that 1. The temp gauge has a range of 130-270 degrees F and 2.the oil pressure gauge has a range of 0-90 PSI. What is the proper operating range for a healthy Super H??

Does anyone know of another source of cost efficient (ok cheap) gauges that are compatible with Farmall's???

Your super will have either a 160 or 180 degree thermostat. If she is a strong runner, oil pressure will be between 40-60 in the higher RPM range.

Understand your budget but if you can splurge, the genuine IH gauges that Ken Updike sells are really nice. You won't be dissapointed.

Hey Red,
I see that you recommend Ken Updike a lot. Does he have a web site or catalog that we could look at. Or a phone # might be nice. I'm sure if you like him he must be good.Just got in from a two week trip out west and in south east CO Saw at least 50 Cs, Hs, and Ms at work in the wheat and hey fields. Did my heart good to see so many red machines still hard at work.
