Hey guys, quick question.....9X24 or 9.5X24 is the correct rear tire size for a Farmall 100 right?

I'm not sure if what I have are the 11.2X24's or not so please take a look at this pic and see what you think?

I kinda wanted to go with a smaller size to get a little more torque and slow the tractor down a little. Also thinking about something skinnier too.
Do any of you have a pic of the 9.5X24's on a similar tractor? I'd like to know what the end result will look like. :D

9.5 would be the replacement for old 9.0 Any increase in non stock tire size (10.2 or 11.2 etc) would speed up ground speed of your tractor, Then how wide is your rim, depends on what you are doing, you could drop down a gear maybe. when we went up one tire size on a Farmall C we allmost went too far for the gear we were using previously for heavy work. Keep that in mind, check circumference of tires and realize that when buying. Larger width tires are not just wider, but a lot taller.

Just put new tires on my SA. I have 10" rims so replaced with 11.2X24's. Check your rim size and don't go 1" over the rim width. The offsets came with several rim widths. Some as narrow as 8"'s up to a width of 11"'s. Marv

Down here in south Ga. most everyone runs the
11-2-24-- This is the size I prefer on any of the
offset farmalls--The 9.5 is too small and the 12
series are too large--If you are doing any heavy
pulling such as harrows, etc-I run rear wheel weights and loaded tubes/tires--Does an excellent job this way---glynn

Patrick, any 9-24 tire you find will probably be dry rotted by now, as that is the old sizing system used up into the 1950's.
9.5x24 is the equivalent size in the newer sizing system.

I have a farming buddy that has 11.2x24 on his 100 and they look and work great. They give the tractor more height for cultivating.

The new size would be 9.5. They will fit good on a 8in rim.
