On my "48 Super A "Dash" I have an ammeter on the left, the L/H/B/D on the right and in bewteen those two I have two smaller holes, the on/off switch that goes to the magneto is in the lower hole and there is nothing in the hole above it. What goes there? It is the same size hole as the on/off switch.

Thanks
Steve

Steve: The fuse holders are still available at CaseIH. I bought one last fall, and for the price you can"t make two other stops 5 miles out of the way.

Scotty is right - fuse holder for lights circuit.
With a magneto tractor, one fuse terminal goes to the Ammeter (generator side), the other terminal feeds the light switch. The correct fuse is a SFE 20A. Radio Shack may have replacement fuse holders.

Sounds like a hole for a fuse-holder.

Is your light switch three- or four-position? Any sign of having been re-wired?

Its got a non working 4 position switch. I am in the process of rewiring it since only some of the wires are present and not cut off. I am thinking of getting a used 3 position instead since I have a voltage regulator now instead of the cut-off relay so I don't need the l/h positions on the switch.
