I took my F-20 to a pull today, It did well, but I had no other tractors my weight to compare with, but It seem to run out of power quickly, the engine was rebuilt, but I had a few guys tell me that it sounds like its not running full RPMs and I've also thought that, but my adjustment is fully out, I need to get into the govenor and figure out how to get more RPMs and any Ideas on a little more HP would be helpful.

Thanks Derek

Wow! Sounds like that should make a F-20 pull its balls off, HA... Wish my F504 was 50 years old so I could enter it. I do not expect it to win much, but I think it would be fun. It is a 1962, so in a few years I will enter it in the Louisiana State Fair Antique Tractor Pull.

Really a nice looking 20. Did you overhaul with the bigger(4") pistons? Was the head planed any you can take off alot to give higher compression? For a little more HP add some model airplane fuel to hi-octane gas, advance the timing one hole on the coupler, fill the air cleaner cup with isopropyl alcohol,AND get rid of the muffler (see the burned spot = backpressure). Open the load screw until you see a LITTLE black smoke at wide open throttle. With the spoke wheels you should be able to add weight to the front end. They were not a high RPM engine 1200-1400 I think, but I believe all the adjustments were in the linkages. Lower the drawbar to 18-20 inches and have fun.
