I was thinking of attending the Waukee Swap Meet in May, but after reading some of the posts from the past few years about it, I wonder if it's worthwhile. I live in Colorado, and with the price of gas, well???? If I do go what can I expect to find? Tractors? Implements? Parts? Reasonable prices or inflated? The posts I've read seem to say it's not as good as in years past and that prices are high. How about Mt Pleasant, which is the same weekend? Is it any better? And if I don't go to one of these, are there any others that are recommended?

Go to the one in MINN as the one in MT PLEASANT is a bust and WAUKEE isnt what it used to be. Make your plans for MINN.

Waukee was really good until Mount Pleasant scheduled theirs on the same days. Just not enough of a potential customer base to support two swap meets that close to one another on the same days.

I've not been able to make it to Waukee for the last couple of years so I really don't know, but it did seem there was a steady decline in the amount of parts every year for at least three to four years prior to that. Might be a sign of our current economy?

I know for sure that with fuel prices as they are, I will be attending very shows or swap meets, and loading up a bunch of stuff in the hopes of selling it for a profit would probably be a losing proposition.

There is a good swap meet at Le Sueur, Minnesota. My neighbor who has been going for years says he cant believe what they all have there and he said you could walk from 7am until dark and not see everything. If your interested, I could give you more info.
