Tried to find a picture in several farmall books at Tractor Supply. Is there somewhere to find a photo of the 40-60 grille and styling Hugh mentioned in another 140 post for the early 140s? Also, when did the steering tie rods change on the 140 from the cub look - kind of a bent rod that curves down then comes up to the steering gear rod from underneath vs the straight contemporary looking tie rods that come down from the top? Trying to find out if I really have a 140 front end on my 140 engine/tranny/frame or a diff front end added on later? Thanks, Pa :D

Pa: The tyrods never changed on th 140, they were auto motive type from 58 to 79. In fact the tyrod you mention, was last put on Super A in 1951. All SA after that, all 100, 130 and 140 had automotive type tyrods.

You go to the YT Farmall photo gallery, type in Farmall 140, there are several 140 in there with 40-60- type grills.
