The data plate reads as follows:
Model FAA
Ser.# IAA 256391

Can anyone tell me what I have here? Thank you, Joe

Should this tractor be red or yellow? Does anyone know a good place to get the international decals? Is this considered an industrial model? It does have the square axle and a foot throttle, also has the IH emblem on the grill.

It could have been either for color. And I messed up. The IH grill emblem (NOT the wings)went on both the Farmall and International grills on Super As, so what you've got there is right. Folks argue about whether the I in the serial number is for industrial or International, and I don't hear either side winning.

A lot of them were sold in yellow and used for mowing roadsides and ditches.

Can you tell what color was on it to begin with?

Just a quick look around places I have bookmarked and some catalogs, and I've only been able to find International decals at Maple-Hunter (ph 812-894-9759). They list them only in vinyl cut, and list it as Super AI International. Not clear if that is reference to Super A1 (not I) or not. Give them a call. There may be other sources, but Maple-Hunter is good to deal with and can fix you up with what you need.

Scotty, It is red, I don't see any yellow. It also has the highway mower, loader, and rear weight bucket.

It indicates the model of the tractor as assigned by the manufacturer.

That means it would have been an International instead of a Farmall. A Farmall A would have repeated the FAA in front of the numbers. You should have a rectangular front axle tube (Farmall was round), a foot-feed in addition to your hand throttle, and an International instead of a Farmall badge on the grill. Unless somebody changed them, the hood decals would read International instead of Farmall.

From the numbers, it's a 1948 INTERNATIONAL Super A
