Hello,
I Have been trying to find out the year of this tractor with no luck. I just found out the model. close as i can get to a specific year is 73-79 .And i,m also looking for a service manuel that has the wireing diagram. It has a D-239 4cyl diesel. Would anyone know the hp. I,m guessing between 60-75. not sure. Thanks for your time, I can be reached at 319-601-9503 if you can help.

According to an old listing that I found here, the 250A series was built from 78-80. Starting serial numbers were: 78-100001
79-100230
80-100934
As you can see from these numbers, they were a low production number unit. Most of the drive train is common to the Hydro 84 farm tractor. If you had a gear drive, it would compare to a 684.
The advertised horsepower was 80 gross and 70 at the flywheel. That would be about60-62 at the PTO if your tractor has a pto. (normally farm tractors from that era use the PTO horsepower as a rating).

Hello Thanks for the info. I washed the dirt off my tractor, and found that the prior owner marked the model number but not the year. And a i found the ID tag that says 250A with a serial number. I,ve checked tractor data and can,t find my model. and a dealership told me that i wouldn,t find it their because it,s an industrial not an ag tractor. I,ve run the casting date off the engine block and come up with 1979 and the serial number comes up 1973 under agriculture tractor. But beings it,s an industrial i,m leaning towards 1979. I,m finding it hard to find anything out about this series of tractor. Agian thanks for your time.
