I've seen a couple of MTA diesels done up like that at consignment auctions, 80% 400 or 450. IMO a real ripoff for the unsuspecting novice. But if it works ok and the buyer is happy, life is good

boy would I get myself into trouble with that. Sharp looking machine with the lines of an H, the efficiency and torque of a diesel, the advantage of a TA, and the convenience of a fast hitch. Wow. I want one, but I know I couldn't afford it. I wonder why the heck didn't IH ever build something like that for production??

They did, it was called a 350 Farmall diesel.

I would assume it's probably 90% 300 or 350. The only thing that survived the original H is probably the tin.

Yeah, I wonder. It's about an hour up the road from where I live. I don't see how it would be any more practical than a standard H, but I guess some people want bragging rights.

I myself would just go out and buy a 300 or 350. It would cost less and offer everything you can get on an SHTA or SHDTA. IMO.

I am pretty sure, if its a Farmall HTA its 1/2 300 0r 350.....they didn't make a HTA.....but over the years they were made up using H and 300 or 350 parts....

If you look closely, this one has a 300 rear end. Notice the 300 fast hitch. I guess it does look nice, but I wouldn´t take it to a show!

Guess that HTA model didn't get used much at night neither?

Given how cheap and plentiful H parts are, can you imagine the markup he must have! I just wonder what kind of diesel engine he has in it.
