Does anyone have a value for a running and driveable IH 4100 and 4300 4WD tractors? There were none used in this area and a friend just got one of each in salvage bid for a yard of misc. equipment. They are way too good to be scrapped.

Where abouts are the tractors located?

Yeah, they're only valuable to the right person/people... They're HUGE, and as such difficult and expensive to haul, not to mention the barn space they take up. You've got to be a dedicated collector.

Two or three years ago I watched a running 4100 sell at a Harley Gerdes Consignment Auction near Lyndon KS. It only brought $3000 if I recall correctly.

Hang on to that 4300! There were only around 50 of them ever built. The 4100 is fairly rare, I think there were a couple thousand of them built, but I'm sure many have been scrapped.
