The hardest part is getting balanced side to side.
Mines does a pretty good job around here but I only get to pull at a few small shows. Mine is running about 30hp and that is with a 3 1/8 bore with a dome a head and manifold off a 140. Its a fun little tractor. I also take it to a few plowing match's.

I know of a few that have some good engines that do well. A friend i helped pulls in 3000 and wins. But he aint factory stock as it depends on where you are and what the rules allow. He is putting out 41hp at 2200rpms using 15in on 10in rims with wts on a bar in front of the rear wheels. Its only money if ya want to spend it you can even bore the block and use H sleeves as there is another one who dynoed 80pluss hp with nitro till the clutch let loose. The BN rear is a little better as the tread is 8in narrower. You could do the same with an A as i know of anotherone and she does well in COLO.

This little B came with those weight brackets on the front which I was told were used to add/remove weight easily at pulls. Must have been able to move something! I can tell you it pulls 100 bales on a 16 foot wagon like it isn't even there and is an enjoyable alternative to larger tractors on the hay rake.

In case you are wondering what those brackets on the front are for they go with the 221 steerable cult.

I never would have guessed that. I can tell you the guy who sold it to me was using them for weights...one bracket is handmade to look like an original but he made it. Must have busted the other one loading it up? Don't know, but I do appreciate the info. It was something I did not know.

Hi Dave, what size are the rear rims and tires on that B? Wish I had that distributor instead of the mag the factory put on them.
Thanks,
Charles

Heck if I know! Had to go out with a flashlight and have a looksee. Those are Firestones 12.4-24 and the rims...well they are about 26-27 inches across. I have no idea if that is what you wanted to know. If not and still interested, just ping me and I will do a better job. Don't know much about mags (yet), but that distributor and 12 volt conversion made this tractor a dream for a novice to learn on. I have an excellent track record keeping this one going. I am giving that tractor to my 12 year old daughter who loves it. Should be in the family for a good long while.
