Been going thru the motions of checking and rechecking over and over again and changing and checking all fluids and turning over with the crank for awhile to get things lubricated. Put diesel in and went thru all the priming process and we tugged on her for a ways and off she fired. Good oil pressure and all clutch and gears, brakes, hydraulics, and other functions seem to be fine. This old girl has not run in at least 10 years so it was a pig in a poke but looks we did ok for 500 bucks. Sheet metal is nice and straight. Just need one used 650 emblem (anybody help me here? to complete the cosmetics and 1 light ring. Got that old ugly cab off there so I can see what I'm doing. Heart was beating pretty fast when I first heard it fire and now she just sits there and purrs. Got a little work to do on the gas side yet but am confident she will come around. Another one saved from the grave. I still get a huge thrill when these old this old iron comes back to life. Thanks for listening , Migraine

Well done Howard!! I know the feeling. My super A had been sitting outside for about 20 years. The owner gave it to me and was surprised when I drove it home half an hour later. One of these days I am going to brave the border crossing and visit you in Lynden. When is the Lynden fair this year? The wife and kids and I used to visit it often about 30 years ago.

Way to go migraine. I bought a 450 diesel last year that had sit in barn for 14 years. Took about 30 minutes to get it running.

It is one of the best tractor experiences to hear feel an sense the ignition of fuel in the cylinders of a old beast. JimN
