Can someone tell me if the ratio of the belt pully and the PTO shaft is 1:1 or does the belt pulley turn faster?

I took the belt pulley off of my 140 and put the cover in its place, the bearings went bad and I really don't need it any more.

I am asking because I have a belt driven corn sheller I would like to sell. The pulley on the corn sheller is the same diameter as the pulley on the 140. If the ratios are 1:1 then I might put a PTO shaft on it before I sell the corn sheller, be easer to sell. If the belt pulley turns faster then the pto shaft, 540 rpm's then I will leave it as is.

Thanks for any help, I could remove the cover on the tractor and look at the gears and figure this out but I thought I would ask first.

Davida, if you would like to part with that pulley gearbox I might be interested. E-mail is open. Thanks, Brian

Going to keep it. I have it all taken apart, bearings cleaned up and put up to replace one day. The rest is still in a bucket covered in oil. I don't have a use for it but that might change one day. The 2 bearings and 1 seal will not cost much, I hope, just a matter of having a need, more than likely I will just get the parts, fix it and put it back on.

I cannot stand to have something that does not work. It runs me crazy to have something and it not work, this also runs my wife crazy since I am always fixing something.

Afternoon David, I believe the belt pulley RPM at PTO speed is 1157 RPM.

Thanks, I was thinking it was twice the speed or more but could not remember for sure.
