Sounds like maybe out of adjustment, does it go in and then falls out or does it not engage all the way and grinds when you let out on the clutch? If it doesn't engage all the way does the lever go all the way down in slot in 1st or there is a space between lever and slot, that would indicate an adjustment is needed. If it falls out on its own could be a problem in the transmission itself.Mine had a problem of not going all the way in 1st and when clutch was engaged it would grind the gears and only needed adjustment to completly engage. Sometimes just needs lubed up good with penetrating oil, try that first....James
