I have a LiftAll that is leaking from the oil seal. I have the oil reservoir separated from the pump. I am assuming my next task is to remove the pump cover to get at the shaft and replace the seal. Do I need to watch out for anything? Does anyone have any tricks for removing the pump shaft coupling and is that CCW or CW to loosen. Any procedural help would be greatly appreciated. Just wondering if there is anything else I should look for while I have the unit pulled and exposed. My first LiftAll repair. Thanks!

Temoprarily bolt the lever back on for easier re-assembly of the pump to the reservoir.

If all you need to do is change the seal there is no need for more dissambley. Use a piece of 1/8" thick X 3/4" wide and 6"long piece of steel with a square end and insert it through the oil intake into the pump gears to hold the shaft from turning. Use a piece of steel bar stock that fits the slot or a hammer and brass rod and unscrew the coupler CCW (normal threads) from the shaft. Dave
