Good discussion on the Charlynn in the H a few days ago. How does the unit install in the SM? Does it use the wedge or another bracket. Photo's?

Hey guys, The mounting plate shown in Allan's picture will not work on my 1940 M. Mine has the early stamped steel fuel tank/steering support bracket instead of the later cast iron one. Any ideas on how to mount the torque generator without changing brackets?

Gordo -

Like Allan says it requires a different gage bracket.

Punch below for a scanned copy of the installation instructions that came with the Charlynn kit installed on my Super M in the late '60's.

They take a different gauge plate and the torque motor bolts directly to the plate.
