Generally speaking, where's the best place to buy all the above for a rebuild. I've got a Bearing Distributors, Inc. right across the street, and the nearest CaseIH dealer is 45 min. drive.

Thanks

I got all my bearings for my H rear end from a bearing supply house in Terre Haute, IN the prices at Case IH were a totally not funny joke. Outer wheel bearings at Case were $192.90 and at Coldwell Inc were about $62. They had all but one bearing in stock and the one they didn't have they got in 1 day! I changed 14 bearings and figure I saved enough to rebuild the whole engine! They also have something like 40,000 different seals! The only thing I got from Case IH was gaskets. By the way, I gave them the IH part numbers from my parts book and they cross refferenced them!

Doug,

Compared to our local IH dealer I have found Messick's to be much more reasonable. Most parts take around a week and that is almost coast to coast UPS. Combine shipping for cost effectiveness. Just ordered two inside axle bearings for the '50 M on Friday from the local Kaman bearing house. NAPA wanted 180 ea, Messicks old price was 102 ea + shipping but the prices have gone up . Kaman charged 180 for the pair(Made in the USA Timkens by the way), got them in over the weekend and I picked them up this morning. With the seemingly wide disparity of what is a "fair" markup, it sometimes pays to shop around. Don
