Front rim for H = 3-tab style

I am tired of having flat front tires without a spare tire and am looking for a source for a used (or new) front rim for my '49 Farmall H. It is the type of rim with 3-tabs attached to the rim that the bolts actually go through, not the kind like my M has with the jam-lock things (whatever they are called) that just wedge it to the hub. Is there anywhere online these can be had? I see some on E-bay right now but it is local pickup only and I am way too far away. 5.50 x 16, standard size.

I've got an excellent 3 tab rim. Send me an email if interested with the Send Email link. Actual shipping. I want $25 for it plus shipping.

Andy.

The other rims people were offering fell through, did you get a chance to figure out shipping? I sent a couple e-mails but not sure if they got through.

Hi Andy, sent you an e-mail already last night, it must not have made it? Followed up with this today: "Hey Andy, George in KY is checking shipping for me already so I have to give him first chance but if you could try to find out what shipping to Boone, IA 50036 would cost me. Thanks!"

Brent, I run Berrymans R seal in all my front tires. Very seldom ever have a flat since I put it in. It is good stuff. It is available at tire stores and TSC.

Brent, I think I have an extra one or two laying around. Send me an email and I will go look to see what I have. I am in KY though and shipping may be high.

I just found them for sale on this site, $166 each. Maybe I should just sell the two I have and buy a new tractor!

Anyone have another source?

I've been selling nice ones for way less than that. And they are not heavy to ship.

Look in your local yellow pages for a tractor salvage yard in the area. You can usually find one within 100 miles.

A rim like that is easily shippable; not too big, not too heavy. Maybe one of the bigger "national" junkyards like steel wheel ranch can help? Rims like these are a dime a dozen.

Other alternatives: Quit running over stuff that punctures your tires. ;) Buy better tires (6 or 8 ply rated instead of 4 ply).

Shipping is not that much I am shipping two rims with 5.00-15 tires on them approximately 600 miles for about 20$. Rims only should be less than 10$
