When you change your oil filter, be sure you get a filter that comes with the rubber gasket. Ensure you get all of the old gasket out of the groove. The reason why I say all is because a lot of times, guys who don't know better just add a gasket without removing the old one.

There should be two pet cocks on the left side of the pan. Fill with oil until it runs out the upper one. Add oil whenever it won't run out the bottom one. (Of course, this necessitates opening and closing both pet cocks as needed.) A Super C takes about 4.5 quarts of oil. If you are going to keep this tractor, get an owners manual and read it. It is full of answers to questions like this one, and additionally, it will cover maintenance, operator and safety issues. mike durhan
