Repainting a Farmall 300. Is the dash panel color red (2150) or black as mine appears to be. May have been painted over the original red with black by someone. Thanks

John, call Scott Punton at A.P. Equipment in Valley City, ND. 800-400-2143 He has ttraced back the original color, got a company to re-produce it for him and stocks it at their dealership. It is a father/son partnership and Scott is an IH nut! If you need anything IH talk to him. He can find it, I almost guarantee!!!

Gun metal gray I think is the official color, don't know the code, I really doubt if there is a current code. Not a good picture and wrong tractor, but the link gives the idea.

John: It's been 51 years since a new 300 came to our place. I looked this morning, couldn't make up my mind what to call it. Definitely not red or black, I'd have to go with the silver grey idea, again not sure on the shade, but it's close to Ferguson grey.

Not sure if it's correct, but my Dad's 1956 300 has the dash painted a silver-gray color.

Dark silver grey is correct. I do not know the code. JimN
