Hello, The farmall M that I am working on has a Horn loader that has two stage hyd cylinders on it. The fluid capacity of the original pump is not enough to fully raise the loader. Can I add an additional resevoir above the pump to increase the volume of oil without causing problems? Also, can I use the factory two way valve off of my SMTA with live Hyd on the '51 M with belly pump? Thanks, MikeS.

Jakee, do the cylinders on your '43 H mount under the front of the engine and run back towards the steering wheel at about a 45 degree angle? If I raise the loader some and add more oil it will go all the way up but when I lower it back down it pukes the extra oil back out. P.O. had a extra tank cobbled on but everything leaked so trying to clean up some. Would like to see a pic of your loader if you have one? Jed, thanks for the info, Mike S.

Mike-You can do both. Add a reservoir and use the double acting valve.
