Do these interchange with the MD, SMD, or maybe even the gassers? I'm in need of one, and don't have a parts manual. Thanks in advance.

Yes the shroud will interchange, although I left the one off my SMD-T/A....I kinda like the look better without it. The original was badly cut up too. I bought mine in a million pieces. It took 4 months to put it all back together in my spare time. Every nut and bolt has been checked and replaced if even marginal. I paid 5k for it, and have about 7,500 total counting the cost of the tractor. In the last year I have seen fair restorations bring up to 15k and really good ones like mine bring over 20k at auction. It has made a nice addition to my SMTA-LPG, and SMTA Gasser.

wdrew - Thanks for the info. I've probably got about the same dollars in mine, but it's been throughly gone over - new wiring harness, guages, tires, paint, etc. They sure do seem to be in demand. BTW, I have a gasser too, but no LPG around these parts.

Sorry to jump in here. I do not have an answer to your question but I love these SMTA-D tractors. How long have you had it? Is it restored.I have one and wish I had collected the serial numbers of the ones I have seen over the years. Would you mind telling your serial number? I recently was to 2 sales with them on the sale and just recently ran across one at a dealer. They have all been in tough shape. I had hoped to get another one but they command too much money for me.

I believe the number to be 67940S, although the tractor is 150 miles away from me at the moment, so I can't immediately verify that. It has recently been restored. It was in pretty rough shape cosmetically when I got it about 10 years ago, but was fine mechanically. Yes, they are getting a little pricey lately, aren't they.
