I saw a post about putting a motor from a MD in a 560D chassis. Can I take the fast hitch off of my dead 60D and mount it somehow on my MD. Would be nice to have some lift on the back but it is not necessary. How many parts are interchangable between the two rearends.

I cannot look at both tractors at the same time as the MD is 45 miles from me right now and the 560D is 110 miles from me at my uncles house. Thanks for all ideas.

I am in Green Bay WI but the tractor is in Norway Michigan. about 100 miles north of Green Bay. I thought about mating the 560 tranny to the MD engine and use the MD tinwork. Just thinking out loud for now.

Brad does your MD have duals on it or is it just the angle of the picture? Ross

yes it has duals on it. I have since removed them but still have all of the components to put them back on. It is very wide with the duals on or very narrow with the outer tires off. Here is some more pics of the duals

A fast hitch could be put on your pickup or, God forbid, a John Deere. It's a matter of how well you work with metal and your imagination. I probably own the only 650 with a fast hitch. It is extra rugged with side plates carved from 1" plates. It has two IH 3.5" cylinders. It can be quickly converted to 3pth. It is cobbled together with parts from a 560, 706, and misc junk from my pile. I don't think these pictures will help you much, but follow D Slater's advice and look at the bolts that hold on your axle housings. Attach your fabricated side plates there. The pivot for the wishbone will attach to the M swinging draw bar mounting holes. Good luck.

Jack, what parts do you want. I have everything except the wide front that was on it. The diesel engine is stuck very bad. Let me know what you need and I may work a deal with you.
Brad

Brad: Your MD chassis is not drilled for fast hitch, nor is it exactly the same shape. The easy fix would be put the 560 rear chassis under the MD. You'd have to go all the way to clutch housing to get a match, but look what you'd gain; fast hitch, IPTO and live hydraulics if you don't already have live hydraulics.

Putting the MD sheet metal on there would no worse than building an HTA. Would make one unique MD, might even be a MDTA.

It can be done, but brackets need to be fabricated to bolt to axle housing bolts and then bolt to hitch mounts. Looks like the lift links are fabricated on your fast hitch.
