For the seat call Easy Bob's, I don't have the phone number convenient, but someone will -- he will know what you are talking about. However, if you don't have the frame rails it attaches to, you may have to go to salvage. As to the battery box -- The basic box is the same as the under seat box for the Super H and M, and others. It has the same mounting holes and so on. If you don't have the base that bolts behind the seat, I don't know if those are available. As to the box, the openings in the lid and box for the cables are different, if you are a purist. No one, to my knowledge makes one specifically for the 460U. These boxes are primarily for the letter and early hundred series tractors, but they will work, they will fit. I bought one from Steel Wheel Ranch for the 350U diesel (not gas) to substitute for my 460U. The cable openings in the lid and box do not line up, nor do the holes in the box and lid, making the lid mount slightly off center. Mike had it dropped shipped from another supplier and did not actually know the manufacturer, although I think he suspected OEM Tractor Parts. I took a chance, returned it to him and ordered one directly from OEM. They are identical. As with most things OEM sells, it was not absolutely correct, but it works.

I'm 68, I was a beginner at the age of 63, but I did drive old Farmalls in the 50's as a 12-18 year old kid before I left the farm for "better" things. Most of what I know now I learned from this forum over the last 7-8 years or so and my later scronging around for parts. Lot of help here.

Dear Randall, The place to place an ad is in the ads area up on the top, or to the left, better results are near assured. On a forum, using all caps is shouting. Just to let you know, not a flame. JimN

I agree, but he is looking for information as to where he can find one, so it's not a full fledged ad. And, having gone through the same thing a month ago, I told him what I know. 99% of the original battery boxes are either beyond repair, or tossed long ago. I did not know, until I checked that they are virtually the same as the Super H/M boxes. As to the caps, for whatever reason, some people like them -- and truthfully, I usually don't even read such questions, but this one caught my eye.
