Serial tag is missing but casting date ends with a "J". Wouldn't that indicate 1965 vintage?
Thanks.
mike

My list only goes up to 1962--H. This would indicate that the letter I would be 1963, and the letter J would be 1964. Seems to be some discrepancy here. I wonder which list is correct?

I'll bet they skipped "I", since it looks so much like a "1"; therefore, "J" would be for 1963. mike

Interesting, the tractors built in 1939 did use the letter I.

Between 1939 and 1963 they realized that it was hard to tell a cast I from a cast 1.
