I'm having a hard time finding info on this for some reason. I bought a single plow with a disc in front of it at a local auction because I was told it was for an A. I'm trying to hook it up to my farmall A and I'm not sure how to. I'm new at this and I think I need to turn the draw bar around toward the front of the tractor or something of that sort. There must be implement instructions for these Farmalls somewhere. If not I'm going to be a millionaire if I could just figure this stuff out. Any help would be great. Also...Can I hook a cub snow plow to my A also?

I think I may have a SA plow. Does this mean it cant be used on my A? I think I would like to buy a super A anyhow because my A has a woods mower hooked to it and I'm not wild about connecting and disconnecting it from the tractor because of the time and headache it may cause. This forum is awesome and thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

You should have two levers one lifts the plow and mounts on the platform by the right fender. The other one mounts on the bell housing up by the bosses close to the filter this sets the depth. There is a rockshaft goes between the fenderw and has a threaded thing on the left that levels the plow. There should be a wishbone shaped thing with lots of holes that mounts to the steering sector. The beam connects to this. I have some of the parts if you are missing. If there is a bracket with two springs on the front of the beam you have one for a SA.

Dale: I don't think you should turn down Reddog's offer, even though your tractor is an A you may well have a SA plow. Reddog has some photos that could help you very much as the only difference in those plows is the lift mechanism. One of the biggest problems buying both A and SA implements, is making sure you have it all. This being due to the fact most implements are removed from the tractor in several pieces. Those small items get hung on a barn wall, and folks clearing out a deceased person's estate often don't know what belongs with what.

In my lifetime I bought a lot of these implements, one almost has to know every part of the implement or take along a parts book to be sure you have it all. I've had guys give me part of dad's mower when buying a plow, I've also bought implements with parts missing. I can tell you, the implement with something missing is not worth much.

Just an example, I have the whole lower half of a 1 point fast hitch, bought it 17 years ago for $20., thinking I'd find the rear rock shaft. Haven't yet, I could fabricate. I had a guy want to sell me another hitch with same parts missing. He was keeping the rock shaft for a 3 point kit, and was very insulted when I offered him $20. He told me $400. as it was 80% of the hitch. I reminded him 80% of the hitch not quite the same as 80% of $500.
