Wanted to know what would be the recommended oil for the rear axle. The add plug is on the left side of the operators floorboard.

The manual i purchased has no info on these lubricants. I assume it should be some kind of hypoid gear oil.

According to my operators manual for my Super C, it says to use SAE-80 oil. On Super C equipped with belt pulley, 5 gallons; no belt pulley,4.5 gallons. Hope that helps. Patrick

I put 90W in the rearend of my C's. I would just pick a good/reputable brand. That is just a matter of preference. It will take a little under 5 gallons to fill it to the full plug which is on the back side of the rear end just below and to the right of the PTO shaft. The main drain plug is on the bottom of the rearend directly above the drawbar. Just swing it to the side to drain it. There is also a drain and fill plug on the PTO housing. I drain this and then pour a little grease in the PTO housing. Any excess grease will overflow into the main rearend housing. The old grease will most likely be a cream color due to water getting mixed in with the grease. If this is the case then just let it drain out. Some moisture will get there due to humidity and condensation as the rearend heats up and cools down. Most of it will come along the gear shift and through the platform bolt holes. Randy
