I am putting the injectors back in and am not sure if the black rubber seals (o-rings) go all of the way to the top of the injector (all the way up around the collar at the top) or just up to the top of the injector before the collar. It seems like they could go either way. I think they are supposed to go all of the way up (rolled up around the collar). But, they may just go around the body of the injector at the top. Any help would be appreciated. I want to make sure I have got a good seal.

The O/Ring goes all the way up on the injector body it is just a dust and water seal to keep stuff out of the well the steel ring on the bottom that is between the pre cup and the injector is what does the sealing and it must be torqued evenly with out going out to the truck and checking dor sure i believe they toqure in at 28 ft. lbs but check the book to be sure i got my boots off now and three barley pops down and working on four.

Thanks! I took a shot at it and put the seals all the way up. Have had it running. Even drove it down the road a bit in road gear. The new head gasket is nice and tight, no seeping at all.

I now just need to set the valves hot at .027 and I might check the injection pump timing. Not much clearance for the valve cover. I may have to raise the fuel tank again to get the valve cover off. It is basically done though and seems to be running fairly well. I"ll see how it starts tomorrow. Was a little slow to start this time, but did not have to pull it at least. Thanks again.

I start & warm them up with the intake manifold off. Then you have room to r&r the valve cover. Put the manifold on after the valve cover.
