Live Hydraulics on an H or M

Howdy, boys. Is it possible to install the hydraulic system (pump and reservoir, etc.) from a late super M or H onto a regular M or H, thus equipping the earlier tractor with live hydraulics?
Or/Also, was there an aftermarket kit - perhaps M&W - which converted an older M or H to live hydraulics?
I am used to having live hydraulics on my Super A's and if I get a regular H or M, I would like to eventually have a live system.

Sure it is. If your tractor is 1950 or later it will bolt right up. The older ones, you have to change the front plate or make a bracket. I did it to a 49 M a couple of years ago. Love it . but be prepared for the cost. Pump, $300, Spool valve $200, Hoses $300, Fittings $200. I have a loader, 3 point, and power steering off the live pump, and I have over $2000 in it.

I've got a '51 M, and I'm balking at the cost. I know I'm gonna do the conversion, but... Right now, I have a PTO hydraulic pump for my front loader, and I sure wish I have live hydraulics. I've got the spool and all that already installed, but the cost of hoses is high, too.

I got my hoses from tractor supply and the fittings from northern tool.It helps if you have a swivel on one end of each hose. I also used northern tool 3 gal. Hyd tank and mounted it on the axle and put a filter in the system. Some people use the belly pump for a tank, but mine was leaking and I didn"t want to fool with it. I love the live pump. It has a lot more power than the belly pump. I can lift a round bale with the loader with no problem
