Hi Guys
I cant seem to get to search to work on this site so I will post my question. I am buying a 48 H with a front loader. I know the hydraulic hoses are hooked up wrong. The left piston(sitting on the tracter)in connected to the rear outlet on the left side. the right piston is connected to the single outlet on the right side. Some previous owner has removed the fill cap and dipstick and put replaced it with a quick connect for the mower.
I know the loader pistons are teed off the same outlet, but which one?
When I raise the loader it seems to be working only on the left piston,
tks
Bill

Thanks for the info. I am going to bring the old girl home on Tuesday. I need to get the hydraulics working good enough to get the mower and cultivaters on the trailer. The current owner says it has hydraulic oil in it and he thinks it is just low on fluid. I will try toping up with hydrualic oil to get her home then change to sae 30.
I gather from reading other post you all will want to see pictures of my new girl.

Bill, if you by chance have a modle 30 or 31 loader, the liftall doesn't hole enough fluid to raise them all the way. The cylinders were filled with fluid above the pistons and the lines at the front end of the cylinders went back to the liftall filler so as the pistons moved forward they would push the fluid stored in them into the reservoir giving enough fluid to lift all the way. As the loader went back down, the fluid overflowed out the lines at the filler of the liftall back to the cylinders.

All three outlets are fed by the same pressure & source; the left rear outlet will lower at a different rate unless the rod is pushed fully down (forward). Attach the left side hose to the front outlet. The filler cap must be vented for 1-way operation. The former owner may have had a 2-way remote valve set up in the past and was returning oil through the quick coupler. Try removing any air that is trapped in the loader cylinders by removing the rod end from one side of the loader and extending it fully with the Lift-All; push the operating lever fully forward and manually retract the piston being sure the pressure hose is the highest point so air is the first "fluid" returned to the reservoir. Repeat for the other side.
I have a Blue Ribbon manual on Lift-All operation and can help with any further questions.

The two rear outlets should work the same, so the loader should be connected right. It would be worth your time to buy a couple of hydraulic hoses and connect both cylinders to the same outlet in case there is an internal obstruction.

The loader may also be bent causing one cylinder to do the work.

I can't understand your statement about the fill cap. It should be vented.
