hey guys im new here and just getting into the old tractor scene. i worked on a dairy farm here in Pa for about 10 years while in high school and out of school. we had a farmall c on the farm that was my fav tractor. im thinking about picking up and old tractor to take to the local fairs and maybe to rough and tumble which is right down the street from me. im wondering about sizes of the farmalls. am i right when i list them from smallest to largest ...

A, BN, C, H, AND THEN THE M ??

also what was the differences in the " super " versions of the models. im thinking about going with the M or H size tractor. any advise will be appreciated....scott

That's pretty much how it goes. A couple of notes of interest:

1. The B/BN and C were not produced at the same time. The C replaced the B/BN in 1948.
2. The B and BN are two distinct models. The BN is a Narrow version of the B.
3. "Super" versions had higher horsepower and faster gears across the board. Various modern features were added as time went on, such as live hydraulics, disk brakes.

You got it right Scott...Cub, A, B, C, H, and M.

There are different variations of the Supers...but
some of those variations will include: live hydraulics, more horsepower, and on some model M's a torque amplifier.

The variations go on and on, but those are the big ones. Some of the other guys may go into more detail for you.

Billy
