I have asked this question before with no respons. Did they make a Super H repair manual for the engine or only for the H? If, anyone knows where I can get one I appreciate it. I tried Binder Books and they only had a manual for an H. Thanks.

Do not take the lack of response personally. It is not a slight against you; your question is just an obscure question that not many people know the answer to.

The vast majority, myself included, saw your quesiton and thought, "Why does he need anything more detailed than an I&T? Super Hs aren't all that complicated. Anybody that knows how to turn a wrench can pretty much figure out how things come apart and go back together even without an I&T manual."

If you can find a copy of the service manual(s) they had at IH dealerships, that'll be the most complete reference you'll ever find. Good luck, though, since there weren't that many copies of those manuals around, and most of them got tossed as time went by.

If you just want information on engine, try 4 cylinder carburated engine service manual # ISS-1039-1 . It covers most 4 cylinder engines including C 164 from 1939 to mid 50 if its still in print.

There wouldn't be much difference in the manuals, the engine in an H is the same as in a super H. The super H has a slighty larger bore, that's the only difference.

The carburetor and brakes might be a little different :-)

The carburetor would be very similar to an M. The brakes would be disc brakes, similar to a 300.

Do you not like the I&T manuals?

I am surprised Binder Books does not have a manual which covers the Super H but all I use is I&T.
