When you turn the ignition on the big red lite dosen't work. Put in new bulb, still dosen't work. Grand kids sometimes don't remember to turn the ignition off.You all know what that causes. I have extremly limited electrical knowledge. How dose it work and how do I fix it. I am a new computer person, but read this page many times a day. Thanks

To Tom---The Old Guy. I read your question about the light not working. Then I smiled to myself, and realized that I had read something from a very humble and nice man. It's hard for some folks who would like to make people believe they are so very smart on every subject of life, to just admit they had overlooked a very simple solution. Thanks for writing back and telling all of us of your great discovery and breakthrough!!. Things like this happen often to me, but they sure had me stumped for awhile there.

It should come on when you depress the clutch all the way.

The BIG RED lite is not and ing. lite it is the lite that we call a T/A teltail , it tells ya if you lose hyd pressure on the MCV . That system controls the power steering brakes and the T/A and transmission lube . Now if you have installed a new bulb and still no lite then look on the left side of the tractor infront of the steps and you will see a plate that is bolted to the transmission housing there is some linkkage some hyd lines comming off it and on the back side closest to the foot steps you will see a electric pressure switch there should be a wire hooked to it it just slips on . Now the wire color is gray but more then likely it is painted red . This switch is a grounding style switch and if the wire is not on it then this may be the problem . If the wire is on the switch then ya got to start tracing as it has no power from the key switch to the lite.
