Farmall H. Does the engine run clockwise or counter clockwise? I know the mag runs clockwise so the engine must. RIGHT??

Check the hand crank mechanism. There is only one direction that you can crank it.

The engine turns clockwise when viewed from the front. The distributer/mag turns clockwise when viewed from the rear. So the distributer and engine turn in opposite directions.

If you've ever hand cranked an engine you'll remember you lift the crnk with your right hand. Clockwise.

Facing the PTO it turns the same way, clockwise as viewed from the rear. I think this is because the first PTO equipment was actually hooked to the front of engines.

The crankshaft will be turning clockwise, when standing in front of the engine and facing it. Mostly all engines are like this, but there are a few that turn counterclockwise.
